Q-Bridge complies with the EU Safe Harbor framework as set forth by the Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of data from the European Union. In addition, Q-Bridge will take reasonable steps to permit individuals to correct, amend, or delete information that is demonstrated to be inaccurate or incomplete. Dispute Resolution
Q-Bridge participates in the EU Safe Harbor Privacy Framework as set forth by the United States Department of Commerce. As part of our participation in the safe harbor, we have agreed to TRUSTe dispute resolution for disputes relating to our compliance with the Safe Harbor Privacy Framework. The TRUSTe dispute resolution process shall be conducted in English. For human resources data we have agreed to cooperate with Data Protection Authorities. Any questions, comments or complaints about the data practices (including without limitation compliance with data privacy principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, access, security, data integrity, or enforcement) of a hosted online OnBoarding software customer or partner for whom Q-Bridge processes data should be addressed to that customer or partner.
Q-Bridge respects individual privacy and values the confidence of its customers, employees, business partners and others. Q-Bridge strives to collect, use and disclose personal information in a manner consistent with the laws of the countries in which they do business, and takes pride in upholding the highest ethical standards in its business practices. This Privacy Policy sets forth the privacy principles and security measures that Q-Bridge follows with respect to all personal information and data transferred within the U.S., from the European Union (EU) to the U.S., and from the U.S. to the EU.
Safe Harbor
The U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission have agreed on a set of data protection principles and frequently asked questions (the "Safe Harbor Principles") to enable U.S Companies to satisfy the requirement under EU law that adequate protection be given to personal information transferred from the EU to the United States. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information or data received by Q-Bridge in the U.S. from the U.S. or European Economic Area, and any personal information or data Q-Bridge publishes to and within the U.S. and the European Economic Area, in any format including electronic, paper, or verbal.
Cookies
Q-Bridge uses session cookies on the site. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes in the aggregate. These cookies are not tied to personal information.
Definitions
For purposes of this Policy, the following definitions shall apply:
- "Q-Bridge" means Q-Bridge, Inc. a Connecticut based Company in the U.S.
- "Personal Information" means any information or set of information that identifies or is used by or on behalf of Q-Bridge to identify an individual. Personal information does not include information that is encoded or anonymized, or publicly available information that has not been combined with non-public personal information.
- "Sensitive" means personal information that reveals race, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, or that concerns an individual's health. In addition, Q-Bridge will treat as sensitive personal information any information received from a third party where that third party treats and identifies the information as sensitive.
- Notice: Q-Bridge enters into email marketing agreements with its clients in the EU which may include the processing of information relating to its clients' customers. In these agreements, the EU client agrees and recognizes that it is the 'data controller' for the purposes of data protection legislation. This means that our EU clients are responsible for complying with the data protection legislation in the relevant Member State national law before it sends its customer data to Q-Bridge for processing. Any data processed by Q-Bridge is only disclosed to third parties at the request and direction of its EU client as the data controller, or when required by law. Any information that our EU clients identify as sensitive will be treated as such.
- Compliance: Q-Bridge has a compliance function responsible for the internal supervision of Q-Bridge privacy policies. Q-Bridge also has a team of technicians to handle data security. Q-Bridge continuously educates its employees about compliance with the Safe Harbor Principles and has self-assessment procedures in place to ensure its compliance. Q-Bridge participates in the EU Safe Harbor Privacy Framework as set forth by the United States Department of Commerce.
- Security: Q-Bridge will take all reasonable precautions to protect personal information in its possession from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. System security includes:
- Limited employee access, separate database servers and web hosting partner that is SAS70 compliant and certified by a third party, Security Metrics
- Cisco routers with hardware firewalls and monitored by internal security system
- Enterprise level IDS systems at head of network administered by the NOC team
- Routine system scanning using alternating methods occurring in real-time, monthly and quarterly
- Intrusion detection and data logging at hosting site
- Highly-skilled network staff monitoring the system and servers
- Symantec Endpoint Protection on all workstations and real-time scanning at hosting site
- Enforcement: Q-Bridge will conduct compliance audits of its relevant privacy practices to verify adherence to this Policy. Any employee that Q-Bridge determines is in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
- Q-Bridge does not share, sell, rent, or trade PI with third parties for their promotional purposes
- Testimonials:
- We post customer testimonials on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information such as the customer's name. We do obtain the customer's consent prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along with their testimonial. If you want to remove your personal information that is being displayed on our website under public pages please send your request to mailto:privacy@qbridge.com.
